Twenty One

Yup. It's my Birthday today folks. :] I'm turning 21. Kinda scary! Now I have to go off and get my own healthcare cover and all sorts of adult type responsibilities. :[

I have photos of things I was wearing yesterday since I went shopping with a friend to AA again and helped him buy a pair of Nudies and had my party with my friends, where I decided to try curling my hair as I hadn't done it since I got my hair layered.

Oh I also intend to take photos of some of the goodies my mum got for me! I had to pick her up yesterday morning from the airport as she just returned from Italy and France....and hit up a couple of shopping outlets.

YES. My mummy bought me a Prada watch! I love it. :] I love how edgy the leather cuff is. Just terrified that I'm going to scratch this thing. :[

She also brought back two cute lil Fendi bags, a blue longchamp (I've used my red one to near death) and a gorgeous patent leather YSL satchel! Not quite the Prada one I blogged for a while ago, but definetly something to be very happy about.

She also got some gorgeous Prada boots for herself and some Prada shoes for my brother....for ONLY 50 EURO. WHEN DOES THAT HAPPEN?!

So I curled my hair in the morning, just to see what it would look like....fresh out of the curlers, it was very Marilyn Monroe. Haha!

Feeling very Pin-up-ish, I decided that black and white stripes was very Parisian and that was what I felt like wearing.

Top - Miss Selfridge
Leggings - Sass
Shoes - MNG

While in AA I totally decided that I'm going to buy this dress when the weather gets warmer...

I already have it in the evergreen but...that colour is just amazing. MUST HAVE.

Ah, I was so stressed yesterday, had to rush around to get ready as didn't go shopping til quite late in the day as my friend slept in. Silly boys.

But second time curling hair, I think my mum and I managed to do it much more neatly and it came out very cute!

Cardi - Sass and Bide
Dress - Topshop

This is my hair with the curlers freshly out. I also know I wore this outfit only last weekend to another 21st birthday, but different group of friends, soo they hadn't seen it yet. And I got compliments for my dress all night, so I think it was worth it. :]

To sum up what the night was like, bit of a late start with only me being on time (as always), but involve a bit of alcohol and good company and one can always be expected to enjoy their birthday! :]

As I only got 3 hours of sleep last night, got home at 4am and woke up at 7:30am since I have a weird body clock that doesn't like me sleeping past 8am, I'm just going to finish up this post with a few pics from my birthday. Since I'm probably completely incoherent anyway!

Stay beautiful!

Two presents, Mug, which I love and necklace from the guy I'm kinda dating. Absolutely love it.

Posting up yesterday's outfits as well because I only just got home an hour and half ago! :] Greaat night and morning.

Outfit for lunch with one of my best Uni guy friends
Shirt - Mens store in Singapore
Mini Skirt - Hollister
Socks - Tokyo
Shoes - Converse picked up in Tokyo
Headband - Mimco

I've got a whoole bunch of knee high socks and cute stockings from my last trip in Tokyo that I have yet to wear much of out, so definetly got my fix yesterday afternoon with these cute pink ones! Feeling totally asian.

Outfit for a 21st Birthday with the boy I'm kinda seeing..?
Dress - Topshop
Shoes - Miss Sixty
Necklace - Market in Manila
Ring - Somewhere in Cologne, Germany

First time wearing the dress out, the boy thought it was hot, so mission was a success. :]
I love my Miss Sixty heels, got them at 70% off at the boxing day sales last year and they are one of the most comfortable pair of heels I own. I literally can dance in them all night!

What I'm wearing today.
Singlet - Abercrombie and Fitch
Cardigan - Zara
Jeans - Uni-qlo
Scarf - A shop in Asakusa, Tokyo

Having a super lazy day, I spent all morning in bed, which I NEVER do, but when you got good company who's too complain?

I love my boyfriend jeans from Uni-qlo, I tend to feel really sexy when I wear them, they're just so comfortable. Need a break from the skinnies once in a while!

Life in Cartoons

I was browsing the Fall runways last night, because I should have been doing work but at 10pm you really didn't want to anymore.

But stumbled onto Jean-Charles de Castelbajac's collection.

I want it so baaad. I've been thinking about it all morning.

I love the whole collection actually. SO CUTE. <3

Magic Red Shoes!

This really is my week of red isn't it?!

Sauntered into the city yesterday as I had to go buy some cheese for a wine and cheese night with my friends and then meet a boy I'm kinda seeing for lunch. Hehee.

So was meeting said boy in front of Myers on Bourke st and as I walked by....

Oh my shoes.

"In anticipation of the 70th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz in 2009, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, in partnership with CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements, have invited the world’s top shoe designers to reinterpret Dorothy’s iconic Ruby Slippers."

And they're in the Myers windows until the 24th of May!

So of course, lots of pretty pictures of SO many GORGEOUS shoes. Enjoy darlings!

Sergio Rossi
Omgosh, I think these are my favourite. I would wear these in a heartbeat! They're so hot!

Stuart Weitzman
Sorry about the reflections guys!

Roger Vivier

Oscar De La Renta

I love these ones, I think they're just so sweet and the sculptural toe is beautiful!

Diane Von Furstenberg

Betsey Johnson
I adore these. Waay too much for a girl's own good!

Alberta Ferreti
Loving these as well!

*sigh* Really not helping with my overwhelming urge to want to buy gazillions of shoes at the moment. I really have turned into a shoes girl.

What can one do?

Colours of Autumn

I do adore Autumn, I love the colour the leaves turn, nothing more gorgeous than a yellow or orange tree that has changed a little earlier than everything else in the park.

I love Melbourne gardens and parks, it's so nice to see green instead of concrete!

So I met up with a friend today who's getting more into photography and uses me as his mentor and model. I don't really like admitting it, but I love having photos taken of me, I love taking self portraits. I'm not really sure why, I like making myself appear prettier than I think I am, so maybe it's a little exercise in self esteem? But I know I'm hardly model material. Hmmm.

But anyway, so I have my friend who is actually keen to take pictures of me, so today during his lunch break we went to the Fitzroy gardens in the city to take pictures with falling leaves and gardens!

I had this outfit planned for this sort of backdrop weeks ago, so I was so excited to actually be able to shoot it!

Dress - Zimmerman
Trench - Burberry
Scarf - Banana Republic
Necklace - Market in Manila
Boots - Tony Bianco
Belt - Charles and Keith

I love cooler weather fashion!

I really do have a thing for red and black these days...

But I wanted to wear my new AA dress!

Going out for dinner with my Grandma, brother and aunt soon for mother's day. My actual mother, is very lucky enough to be spending her day in Paris! Thinking about it...she spent Mother's day in Paris last year as well!

Dress - American Apparel
Shoes - MNG
Tights - Celine
Earrings - Dior

My (12 year old) puppy dog wanted to join me in the shoot! His name's Blackie and he loves everyone! He even matches my dress with his collar, style is obvious in the family!

Happy Mother's day to all the beautiful mother's today!

I'm feeling red...

Came across these gorgeeous bookmarks by Kyouei design (
Aren't they cute? I normally hate using bookmarks, cause whenever I put the book in my handbag, it gets bumped around and guess what! The bookmark falls ooout! But I think this looks like it would stay in the book pretty well. And it just looks damn adorable over the cover!

Unfortunately they're not cheap either, for a pack of 3 it's about AUS$40. :[ Maybe when my second paycheck comes in...I love it in red!

And speaking of red things, I LOVE my chunky red scarf from Banana Republic which I picked up in Japan in April. On sale! And it's getting lovely and cold in Melbourne so I've been taking it out and about!

I did a little mini shoot with my scarf, because I love it that much. And I realised I hadn't really put up any of my photography up here yet, I do take nice photos! I'm just really lazy when it comes to my outfit shots!

American Apparel havoc.

Back in Melbourne. This is the place to be. Was so good to see my grandma and dog (he's still so stupid and adorable). :]

And caught up with a whole buncha random friends yesterday at different times and places and stayed out til midnight with no real plans. God I miss that, the city at night is just amazing.

I really should blog my outfits on the day I wear them, but I got home so late (again) last night and just was too tired. So at least I'm only a day late hey? :x

My outfit for the afternoon.
Jumper - H&M (Men's department, I picked up this lil number for only 5 euro in Germany!)
Shorts - American Apparel
Tights - Marks and Spencer (I love their tights, I accidently got caught on some velcro and they didn't rip anywhere!)
Boots - Topshop

I totally didn't realise how high my heels were until I left the house, I was running late to get coffee with my friend and just chucked them on cause they were by the door. Talk about a good butt workout that afternoon!

So I met up for coffee with one of my best girlfriends, god you have no idea how much I miss just going out to a cute lil cafe for a cup of tea and a cookie. And being able to walk down a street and decide on the spot! Had a fantastic natter about boys and tattoos and the such. I'm randomly contemplating maybe getting something tiiiiiiiny on my wrist. Buut, I'm so fickle I'm terrified I won't want it a couple months down the track. Hmmm.

After coffee, I met up with my cuuteed friend (we have weird terms..) David who is as addicted to American Apparel as I am and we met up in Chapel street to go wreack havoc on the store!

We ended up spending an hour there just running around and trying stuff on. Haha. ;B I wonder if retail attendants find people who just try stuff on really annoying...although we both did buy stuff too!

Bought this, although I'm questioning it a bit now. I absolutely loved it last night, but I'm not sure how versatile I can work it. But, IT'S BRIGHT PINK! And I really wanna try working the oversized tee/jumper look, problem for me is that I have such big shoulders I can't usually find anything that looks big on me and not look ridiculous.

Didn't buy this as I felt a bit too lumpy and bumpy in it, it's SO TIGHT, but looking at the photo's not so bad is it? David hated the pattern, but says he's starting to like it. Hehee. Well, still something to consider maybe. :]

I did get this! I didn't think I'd like the aztec pattern so much in red, but ended up really liking it! And I'm sorry, it has pockets. Any dress with pockets is a winner in my book. I also bought a green batwing hoody (Which my friend Ben hates, hehe), sooo comfortable!

Then of course, because amongst all the cool stuff AA has, it does have some...rather ridiculous looking things....David and I cackled everytime we came across something highlighter fluro coloured or super metallic. Which was very often. Lots of laughing. As we do, we grabbed some horrendously coloured things on to try on, just for the sake of it.

The very funny thing is, as ridiculous as they are, I actually liked the highlighter yellow on David, just not with the purple....and my lil disturbs me that I didn't mind it. I mean, those are metallic splotched legging...things. Hahaaa! Although I am in love with the vest and may go back for it.

I love yellow things. If you hadn't picked up on it already from previous posts. Oh maan, I got given a lift home by Terry (boys, boys and more boys hehee.) and he showed me his new car for the first time. At first when we were walking towards it, he was, "oh it's that white one", but then promptly turned at this HOT sporty yellow number (Nissan Silvia I think?). "Just kiddin. It's this one."

Oh I freaked so bad. I fell in love instantly.

Mmm. It's morning and my brain is making this blog entry completely all over the place. So before I confuse you all some more I'm going to stop here. Be fabulous dears!
